Hello,

I wanted to create a patch in which an external sound captured with a mic, would trigger a sample in a sampler ?
Basicly i need this patch to help my dog staying alone in my flat.So every time it would bark at a certain level, a sample with my voice would start , telling the dog to stay calm !

My neighbours would really appriciate if it's working !!

Cheers

You could try the Envelope Follower or the Peak Follower. You probably have to block the triggering when the sample plays as well...

This must be the most original usage of Usine so far - poor dog!!! :lol:

great idea !
here a try ;
threshold is used to set the sensibility of your micro
then ( I've also a dog) generally the dogs don't do only a simple wouarf but more a wouarf woorf warf warf..
so i use a ramp , this way the first wouarf trigger the ramp and after a moment ( set by the length fader) the sampler play a random sample.
( record several different sentences will be better)

I think that kind of device should be available (mandatory even) for people who have a dog in an appartment, i specialy think to my neighbours and their small high pitched voice full of energy chihuahua.

Maybe a band pass filter would be necessary to tune for the correct size dog so that you do not accidentally calm the trash truck or the doorbell.

Science Fiction Baby phone ! very good idea too ! I couldn't find the patch "beat follower+threshold " mentioned in Nay example ? Is that patch part of Usine package ?

Cheers

if this works correctly, could be cool to create a video..?
half screen for the patch ( add led and faders to visualize the actions of the patch) and on the other side with the dog ?
