today i was thinking about another way to do a simple liveset up
i produce all my tracks(DrumStep)in studio one pro
so my thought was to use studio one pro and have stems of my tracks
excample drums on track 1,bassline on track 2 etc
then use usine pro (maybe)rewired to studio one and have the corrosponding number of tracks in usineas the number of stems in S1
then have a button called play in usine that triggers the play button in S1
have different effects on the tracks in usine for the drum stem track, bass stem track etc
so i can choose what effect and where in the track i want to trigger the effects
all of this should be midi mapped to my novation nocturn
so my basic question is would rewire be the best way to connect S1 and usine for this?

just to mention, i was able to rewire the sound of live8 to usine using live8 working on asio4all and usine working on asio settings of my sound card. maybe this trick could work in your case ?

i have never been a fan of asio4all it have always giving me more trouble than good times, and i would be very sad to be using anything else than my studio live 1602 as audio card
so think i will have to wait untill (if)usine gets rewire,if theres not anyway other i can make this work:)

Can't really say that I quite understand the whole setup you describe, but even if Usine was able to be a Rewire slave, it wouldn't work sending audio from S1 to Usine. Rewire just sends MIDI and transport controls from master to slave, and the slave returns audio back. The slave can also control the transport.
If S1 can be a Rewire slave, you could try the ReWire VST plugin from eXT. Another option could be a loopback of the audio (S1 output>driver/mixer software>loopback>Usine input) if the 1602 driver supports it.
If I understand you correctly, you want a fixed set of effects available per stem/track, so why not use Usine as insert VSTs? If you want to do some extra master MIDI stuff from Usine, you could also run an instance standalone at the same time with the "No audio" option, so you don't need an ASIO driver (and the extra CPU) for that.

Yes, sounds like you could just use the VST version of Usine in S1 for each of your stems?
Otherwise your alternatives are to use Jack or virtual audio cable to route audio between S1 and a standalone version of Usine but I think using VSTs would be easier to manage.

ahh yes never thought of the vst version ,gonna have to look into that, but my goal was to have all the effects for all stems in one usine GUI instead of multiple windows(instances)
In that case add a Usine VST to each stem with the effects you want. Then create whatever GUI you want in a standalone Usine with your noturn attached to it and route midi from the stanalone Usine into S1 so you can control it all from the one GUI
