connecting vst to bidule

hi - I'm having trouble connecting the vst export to bidule, can someone help me out?
I've made a vst of simple sliders [not sure to use ones from Interface Design or Midi] They are meant to control options from my synths there. I link the parameters within the interface and when I adjust the sliders they effect my synths just fine, however, when I adjust the knobs on the synth, the info does not relay back to the sliders. I will be working with automation in recording, so I really need those to relay back. Do I have to set up MIDI ports for the sliders in and out within Bidule? Any tips would be must appreciated.

midi yoke through ableton, i could potentially use the vst usine there

yes, always good to simplify the process...
now, not sure the VST /VSTI you want control send back midi too..?
