Hello everyone,

In the "OSC send" module, multiple "datas" can be sent but they all have to be the same type (either int, float, array, or string). Is it possible to send an OSC message with multiple types of datas in a single message? I am trying to send a string as "data 1" and a float as "data 2". Perhaps this is a job for a script? Any guidance would be great.

thanks.

afaik it's not possible to have different types in single message. senso once spoke about the idea to access osc directly via script module that could allow this, so maybe this will be possible with hollyhock..

hi there!

no, that's not possible..you will need an external solution, like processing or pd, for this..see this thread

oli_lab was so kind to code that in processing. it's basically rearranging the OSC messages into different types. source code provided, so it would be possible to adapt this to your needs. You could also do this quite easily in pd..just make sure to use the proper OSC modules..

cheers
