Hello!
Just switching over to Usine after using Live for a long time, and so far so good! Thanks!!!
But having trouble configuring a few simple things….(we are using the Piano roll patch as a base)
Our set up is the following and very simple:
using a Boss RC300 looper as master and Usine as slave. (recording live loops with looper, and then trigging midi file loops, and rhythms using usine synchronized with the live loops)
Usine is proving to be much more stable than Live in this configuration…. but they’re are a few simple things that we can’y seem to configure:
-When we start and stop (with the RC300) the tempo synch is perfect (unlike Live) but we can’t manage to get the midi files in Usine to start from the beginning- they just continue playing where they left off. Is there somewhere we can configure that?
next question: How can we get the audio files we import to be quantized to adapt to changes in tempo….
these are two functions which are pretty much automatic with Live…. and we can’t seem to find them… But we’re just getting started!
Thanks for your help!

controlling midi loops with RC300 looper..... a few queries=)
Welcome Rchil,
- for the piano roll you have to activate the option auto restart on the piano roll module (drag and drop a midi file on an empty place to create a patch example if needed)
-there's no automatic detection in Usine, but you'll discover many synchronization options in the settings panel of the sampler modules

Just an FYI - the RC300 sends a MIDI START and MIDI STOP upon starting & stopping. I bet you can filter on the MIDI START & use it to modify your song pointer.
Address the process rather than the outcome. Then, the outcome becomes more likely. - Fripp
