Hi, I'm thinking about polyphonic possibilities of "midi auto harmony II" script. Is it somehow possible to use audio input signal for MIDI instead of pre-loaded sample? Actually I just want audio signal to be more rich, so this script does exactly the job, but I would like to apply this effect to different incoming sounds.

I'm open to any experimental suggestions, if any?

Yep,

So I am working on an auto harmony 3 but is going to be awhile till I can release :)
It is rewritten to pull offsets from a file so you can easily create, or use the hundred or so inversions.

Look in Analysis tools there is the Audio to MIDI module in there that you could start with. I've thought about something similar, but working the harmony and chords first.

So yes as long as you have an audio input from a soundcard you should be able to run this to your Audio to MIDI and then from that to the midi auto harmony II.

If you have any ideas you would like to have incorporated into a harmony 3 let me know, at the moment I am on hold as we are filling with chord offsets and working a possible progression method.

Hmm . . . ok, as I understand audio can be transformed into midi notes for harmony script to be triggered. But MIDI notes doesn't affect input audio stream of sampler. It works only with pre-recorded sample, isn't it? I need something like frequency shift or pitch shift - that's how the script work if there is sample in playlist. It add more harmonies to the existing sound file, but I have no file just input sound stream.

Hi r.error,

I don't know if I am completely understanding your question.
As I am hearing you originally just used a sampler, you are changing the pitch of the sampler and want to trigger MIDI harmony II?

If this is the case you could take the input audio stream (if you want a pitch change you can do several thinks like pitch, or you could do some sort of Grain recorder and modify your pitch there), you could then output for Audio to MIDI, then trigger the Harmonizer.

Is this kinda what you are talking about?
