sizing multiple controllers at the same time
Hello,
Is there a way to resize multiple controllers at the same time, such as size? I am making a layout and realized that my button controllers are all a little bit different and rather than click on each one and adjust each one individually, I really think it would be great to do them all together. Is this possible?
If there isn't, is there a faster way to change individual slider values? I find myself clicking for a while to be able to type in a value.
Thanks,
Marlow

one way is to do it by script and iml, by naming the items i=1, 2 ,3 and so on an make a loop in script that send iml message targeted to size parameter of item(i)
or if you don't wanna use script but patch , either can write all the lines commands as as list for a list box and connect text out to 'send internal message' module, and a litle counter that will scroll the listbox message to be sent. or also possible to use several concat string modules with one in center that will convert counter out interger to a string.
quite busy for now sry, i think there is an exemple somewhere but if you don't manage i'll try to write a little exemple later

Would a snapshot work? If so, how would I do it? I don't know how to do the iml parts.
23fx23,
I am on HH. I tried the snapshot function, but it doesn't seem to copy the sizing information, but it does seem to help with colors. I opened up the button itself and added a bus that is fed by a vertical fader for both height and width, but it will be time consuming to do it for 84 buttons. I would imagine there might be an easier way to implement sizing them all together, hopefully. I am not really that good with my HH skills, so it was already time consuming in setting up what i have. Any help you can provide would be great. The link for my current patch (ugly and not set up yet) is on dropbox here:

In this case the best way is to rebuilt your patch in polyphony mode, you'll win cpu and resize all in one click?
Nay-Seven,
I did try the polyphony mode initially, but it was somewhat confusing to me. Can you walk me through an example with one of my midi buttons in my patch (or something better, knowing you).
Thanks,
Marlow

Here an example, you can use one sub-patch/octave, maybe more easy to maintain
when you made small change use apply polyphony
when big changes reset polyphony

Nay-Seven,
Wow....simply wow. You are truly a master. It took me an hour or two to figure out how you did what you did. Very eloquent and perfect. Thank you for your help with this. I will share my finished products.
Thanks!

you can also find several add ons to study in the same direction ( ex: keyboard 14 notes, poly pads v2)
