Hi guys. Working with USINE STAGE. This is the issue: I have a patch with several faders and knobs that control parameters of VST plugins. Due to limitations of a Behringer X-Touch Mini controller I need to make the faders and knobs respond to different midi channels. I need to find a way to switch midi channels within Usine, this is change the incoming midi channel from the controller (in this case is channel 11) to another selected channel so the midi learn fuction of the fader can respond to that selected channel and not the incoming one. I've tried anything I know but no luck, fader and knobs only respond to the incoming midi channel

I haven't used Usine 5 in a long time so I am kind of shooting in the dark but it should be possible to create a MIDI input for the X-Touch, transform the MIDI channel and send the MIDI to Usine for learn. Getting Feedback on the X-touch channel will be a bit more complicated, you would have to wire your control to a create MIDI module and either send directly to MIDI out to the X-touch or to a knob or fader and learn that "aux" interface item to the original x-touch channel which should then send feedback. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gurologic for replying. I get the idea but I don't think X-Touch Mini has that feedback capability. This device works similar to Korg Nano Kontrol, you can only set their type of messages and channels with propietary editor. It seems that Usine only listens to the midi channel that is sent from the controller. I wonder if there's a way to have a subpatch that could only listen to a specific midi channela n iser the knobs ans faders into it, or use the CREATE MIDI module to send the desired midi message and channel to the MIDI LEARN function. I don't know, I'm just speculating. I will keep on trying different things that come into mind.

Finnaly I've found a way to achieve this using NDC Midi Channeliser plugin. I created a patch on a separate track that listens to midi channel 11 (default in X-Touch Mini) from its own midi port through Usine's midi input 1 only. This patch allows me to select the midi channel that I want using several instances of this plugin. Then cofigured midi input 2 with Midi YOKE port. Next set midi out 1 to midi YOKE. Finally configured the desired track (where the knobs and faders are) to listen only to midi input 2. the last thing to do is to apply the learn function and change the midi channel for the knobs and faders in remote panel. Also it is necessary to have a subpatch to make possible the selection of the midi channel you want to use at any specific time. A little bit tricky but it works.

The only issue is that when you move any parameter (using XTouch Mini) set to non default midi channel (11) anything assigned to this midi channel will move too. Still working on finding a way to solve this.

If anyone has a different and easier approach will be very welcome.
