Mouse Down on VST window?

Is there any way to get a mousedown value off a vst editor?

It's looking like not. I'm confused because all other UI modules have one. Maybe a FR? Maybe impossible?

I remember V5 used to let you put other widgets in the container with the vst editor window. That was pretty nice.... maybe mousedown isn't possible because of the nature of the new vst window?

Anyway, it would give me another tool in the arsenal to keep feedback out of parameter control loops.....

i could swear it existed by the past but maybe have been tripin, wanted to use as well for 'temp blocking' vst inputs datas in several cases.
think should be posted as feature request, would be quite handy indeed!.
