rack output remote

Unread post by Gilsornette » 21 Nov 2019, 13:28

Hello,

Is there a way to assign, in a patch, a midi remote to a rack output? Via a message or a particular module?
Thank you

Maybe i misunderstood your question but you can assign a MIDI learn to a knob linked to this module this way ?

My question wasn't clear enough. On loading a certain rack I'd like a midi remote to be automatically assign to the gain output of that rack. For that I could just record the rack with the midi remote asssignment, but I'd like to be able to load severall racks and that my midi remotes increment at each time (e.g controllers, for fader 1 on rack 1, fader 2 on rack 2, etc..). It could be also, for example, that loading of the rack opens a dialog box,
or something else, and if I move a fader of my BCF the corresponding controller is automatically mapped to the midi remote of the output. In other words is it possible to have access, by patching, to the menu "remote assign" of a rack.
I'm wondernig if it's clearer than before...

Usually something like this is done via controller scripts, which I don't think is supported in Usine. But I think I might have an idea how to do this by patching in MIDI device. I'll post example when or if I figure it out. In a mean time you can post automap controller scripts in feature suggestions.

you can make polyphonic patch inside specific MIDI device's patch and save it. this is the kind of sub-patch you would need in it:
cc-rack 2019-11-24 041119.jpg
but, need to figure out correct CC array handling so this patch receives CC's in expected order. and you set sub-patch polyphony number to number of faders/knobs you want to use.

Hello
Here's a small patch for an automatic remote with the BCF
You can put it in a device.
Automatic BCF Remote.pat
(114.71 KiB) Downloaded 283 times
I made it for the 8 faders of the BCF first page. You can easily complete the patch if you need more
