and feel bad about it.

EDIT: lol. i didnt know that i must turn on MIDI THRU to make it work. i guess i am really some übernoob here. anyway, i let the thread stay, perhaps there are other noobs like me^^

i wanted to create a simple patch where i could play on my keyboard (a simple korg k25, which is recognized by usine, and the midi in trace works fine) to a pianoroll which is connected to a vsti. i havent read the whole manual, but took a look into the relevant passages, and everything seemed to be ok. ("midi input". maybe you hid the relevant parts on page umteen-twelve, i dont know^^)

i hate it to feel dumb... ive done things in ableton live where people who worked with it told me "damn. cool idea. never thought of that" after 2 weeks, but i cant get a hold on usine. what do i do wrong? am i too noob for this tool? why does it say "no midi"? i guess ill figure it out sooner or later, but its frustrating as heck. so go on, flame me^^

Are you sure that your keyboard is correctly configured in the 'Setup/ Midi In" ?

Check it first.

I see this post is old but I'm also a noob. I am trying to get started but can't see any of my midi devices - this shuts down the only reason I'm trying it out so I have no idea what to do. The manual implies they will all show up in the midi tab but no luck.
They are all connected and show up fine in Ableton Live. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome gron,
have you try the rescan devices button in the MIDI tab ?

Hi, yes, I did try that. However just now I figured I'd jump back in and try again ... and before even clicking rescan magically everything is showing up and working as expected!

I can't explain why but now it's time to get to work :)

Thanks for the response.
