Hi all,
I have a question about the sampler module. I have build a workspace, where I use ten stereo sampler modules. I use them as loopers. So I record phrases from synth or guitar (usually about four to sixteen bars) and the samplers play beat synched. That works for me, so I don´t have a problem, but I wonder what ist the best configuration for the sampler module in this case?
I adjusted the 'maxrecordtime' value to sixty seconds, the location is memory, so each sampler eats up lots of ram. I have a 32bit windows and 3 gigs of ram, so usine can use its 2 gig completely.
Would it be better to set the location of the samplers to 'file' or does this 'stress' the harddisk too much?
Do you have other suggestions and experiences about the proper use of the sampler module in a situation like this?
Greetings,
Stefan
About Samplers
recorded sounds are always loaded in memory so there is no optimization to do.
but, in live situation, try to put files in memory as much as you can.
