the idea is to trigger presets/snaps only on one track/patch, like changing the sound with fade time on the track/patch "melody" without changing it on the "rhytm" track/patch to get smooth crossfades to another melody without changing the beat coming from another track/patch.

it seems the conductor module only works global.

so for example the note c1 changes the melody on track/patch x and c2 changes the beat on track/patch y, and d1 changes the melody on track/patch x again and then just jump around with rhytm on track/patch y with c2 to c12 or so. WITH FADE TIMES, to control beat and melody independent; to use different midi messages for beat and melody.

in other words: to have melody (patch 1) on the upper row of my korg nanopad and beat (patch 2) on the lower row to trigger independently for more improvising/flexibility without to much and to big snaps.

how could that be done?

hope its understandable what i mean ...

Hi Mat,

The conductor isn't necessarily global : on the top of the window patch, you can find a "conductor isolated" switch which inhibit the conductor action. Else, you can use a presets manager in your patch.

Cheers

well, thats the point where i am not really shure how this works, how the command structure is.

so to isolate a patch means it is only responding to a conductor module which is inside the patch? and it only isolates to the global conductor and not the one inside the patch?

hmm, have to think about and test... or am i missing something?

preset manager: could not find out how to make fade times with that.

not sure to follow you,
but here a solution to use a single note and only this one to fade down the volume on a track

well, maybe i better say:

i want to "morph" one sound to another on one single patch, maybe with the use of a mixer which crossfades from one vst on channel 1/2 to another on 3/4 within the patch, or any other way.

without affecting any other patch.

all by hitting one pad on my controller.

i have 12 pads on the nanopad. i want 6 of them only change the beat and 6 only change the melody. not aprupt, but "morph".

so i have 6*6=36 combinations of sound with 12 pads. with fades.

without fades i can already do it. but i would like soft change overs.

maybe a bit to sophisticated...

thanks, i´ll try to understand that patch. i´m bad in maths and logical things.

so using the conductor module only within a patch is not posible, just to get the preset fade times? it always stores and recalles globally (exept isolated controlls)?

its difficult for me to understad how the F8 conductor and a seperate one in a patch are conected or how they interact. when i open one in a patch it has the snaps from the F8 one in it. so it is just another (cloned) interface of the same module?

sorry if this is stupid, maybe i am just to brain blocked weird thinking to understand this...

Yes , the conductor module is a replica of the main one , it's like the master synchro module or the dashboard module.
With the conductor you can memorize Grid scenes

ok, now i got it. it is obvious for the dashboard (only one start/stop possible).

so lets dive a bit more into this great software.

have to take care not to drown...
