Perhaps a seq/timing manipulation master can give some advice on this issue. In the example patch, I wish to slice up the sequence similar to the way you would with a sampler and sequence the slices using another steps seq. I understand to divide the number of steps in order to "slice" the seq but the problem lies in how to deal with the modulation of the "step pos" which is handled by the "seq" sub patch which is based on some maths applied to the master syncros "tot ppq" information. It would be easy to just modulate the step pos inlet but the question is how to do that without stopping or disrupting the seq loop generated by the "seq" sub patch. I patiently await your advices.

you mean you apply a grid, ie 1/4, 1/8 ect and want to replay the steps at same speed (ie always one bar)?

yes,
apply a grid to the steps so that i can "slice" the entire steps seq into equal divisions like you would a drum loop in the sampler module. And then play back individual "slices". So, if there is 16 steps in the steps seq then just divide 16 by 4 for example to get a 1/4 division and then modulate the step pos based on that division by multiplying the result by 0,1,2, or 3 to get to those 4 slices. but the pb I am having is modulating the "step pos" while preserving the timing scheme and keeping the steps playing and looping relative to the timing offsets that will be introduced when playing different slices. The timing scheme in the sub patch basically sequences the steps pos by incrementing each step based on the division set in the combo box. (1/4 = 4 steps per bar, 1/6 = 6 steps per bar, etc).
