Container are like panels and are useful if you want to group controls inside a single entity. here a little patch to illustrate :
download
but a container can't be shared by multiple tracks, it's just a kind of folder in a patch

thanks

but whats the different between maincontainer or parent container and a ordinary container?

it could be cool IF a container could be shared by multiple tracks though i guess that would be insanely diffucult to manage:)

it's the same hierarchy target than for control panel. in my example, choose the fader named fader in sub container and change his option
where= container
for
where = parent container
i know this concept is not always easy at first

can be confusing at first but really useful when you have for example some group of switches to move ...
will try to built a wiki page about hierarchy in Usine.

how to "attach" some elements to a particular container ?

the where property doesn't seem to be enough (I mean, I missed something else for sure)

I just missed something: my children element was at the bottom of a non-autoresizable container (so I didn't see it anymore)
btw, it works fine!
