I'm setting up a fader to control portamento in a VST. I'd like it if when I chenge the portamento time, it also turns portamento ON in the patch.

To do this, I take the out from the fader, run it into an OnlyIfChanged module, and use the output of this to control a PassEvent module, with a 1 on its input. As expected, every time I change the slider, the PE module sends out this:
1
[-1]

But for whatever reason, this does not change the value of the parameter. If it is off, it stays off. I put a switch on the parameter just to be sure, and that works fine.

Any ideas what to do???

a toggle module..?

but I don't want this feature to ever turn portamento OFF.... wouldn't a toggle module do that every other time??

Hmmm--maybe if I turn the amount to zero it should turn the feature off.... hah!
