sync 2 knobs

Hi, if I take two knobs and sync them in this way. Result is when first is moved second moves too and when second is moved first moves too. But I don't know how to do this if knobs are in different patches? I tried with buses and data in/out but does not work.

If the track is in 'grid' mode it just won't work.
Try to set the track mode to 'rack' or 'all'
