I was using the grid to select presets and engage and bypass a delay.
It is handy to be able to select a preset and then have the delay either bypassed or active depending on the grid patch but I would like to be able to also with a midi controller bypass the delay so that I can freely toggle it. At the moment when an item is controlled by the grid I am not able to control the switch or even change it. Adding a pass if change module somehow? Is that the secret?

Very often it is the secret, yes! :)

"Pass if changed" doesn't lock up the inlet it's connected to; it operates as if you connected something to an inlet, which gets the current value, and then disconnect,

I use pass if changed all the time! it is a miracle module.
Pass if changed doesn't help when the grid has taken over though
How can I enjoy this style of control with an item controlled by the grid?

I suppose the solution is to not use the grid for the bypass of a vst and to leave that to my midi controller
