Hi everybody!

I am only starting to play with Hollyhock, currently 1.1.008m, and I can't right click, it actually has the same effect as a left click, is it normal? Is this a OldMacOS emulator? Haha, I'm sorry, I am so lost right now figuring out everything, it probably is right in front of me but I can't seem to find how to do it..
Thanks in advance for any kind of hint!

Yes, normal
no more right click actually , except to open the settings panel ( if it's not opened yet.)
and yes , it since Usine is MAC OSX compatible

Ah, ok.
Of course you know that right click exists on Mac OSX?
Just joking.

I know I am about two years late for that debate but is it something definitive or something that just isn't implemented for the time being but you are planing to do it? I ask because as we program everything with the mouse not using half of it seems strange. What is it that I am not getting?

Thank you for your fast response as always!

Actually, i talk about the Mac OSx , but the main argument is the tablet and tactile screen use..
no right click here ;)

Ok, I don't really see how it is better for everybody but I don't have to get it to get used to it!

So what is the equivalent of the "right click in the background of a patch", where you had a list of favourites modules to choose from? That was awesome!
Is it the favourite list that is in the browser? Can this list be modified and how?

Thank you!

yes, you have a favorite folder in Usine/modules , simply copy here the ones you need

Ok I am starting to get use to that. One thing I still miss is "find in patch", is there a way to do that?

Thank in advance!

yes , click on an object, and check its contextual menu (above the color palette) , you'll find this function here

Thank you very much!

I am checking the oscilator, I like it! Is it wavetable or an algo generating the signal? Sounds like wavetable to me but I can't be shure.

I would also very much like a right click. Too much clicking around the interface to get at basic functions which is difficult on a small 12" display. I also miss the basic menu functions in the patch window from v5. Nice to save or reload a patch without having to click out of ib mode and locate and click on the current patch in the grid.

edit:
I suppose I will need to get better at using key combos for file operations..

+1 for context menus

losing the right-click menu is not necessary for mac compatibility. Just put it under opt-click for the mac, like most cross-platform apps.

It saves a lot of screen real estate. Even with my big touchscreen, I still dislike using screenspace for the menu.

You could make it a swlitchable preference for those who have no mouse at all.
