Hi guys, I need your help again. I need to sync a looper with a 7/8 meter so it starts recording (preferable triggered by audio signal) stops recording after two bars and have the options to play the loop manually or/and autoplay. I need some help in how to set global or local sync to achieve this.
thanks in advance

From the top of my head, I'd say:
connect the 8 led out from the master sync to a switch counter that counts to 7. These switches can toggle record and playback.

Thanks trik for replying. I don't get the idea, which master sync?? can you be more specific? thanks

There is a module that controls the master tempo of usine.
here it is in the manual.
You connect its 8th led output to the input called 'next step' in the module for sequenced switches.
here
With this module you can then control the play and record inputs of your sampler.

which looper are you using? Mobius can sync to host and then it just follows whatever the host counter is.

Why using a counter ? I've already set master sync or local sync to 7/8 in the list of bars. It works fine.

I use mobius, but I've never tried 7/8 with it. I thought you were talking about a looper made with Usine.
I can give a try if you need.

I use GLoop by GVST wich is fine looper for even meters but I can't make it work for 7/8. I've tried Mobious in the past but it is too complicated and takes a lot of time and tweaking to make it work right. I would consider using a looper made with usine since this software is very powerful but have no idea where to start, probably using the REC feature of the wav sampler set a loop mode with the syncro function

I was using möbius but I'm trying echoloop. It seems to work better than möbius jbridged to 64 bit. It's simpler with less features but seems to offer less problems when switching workspaces.

Does anyone have an idea to buil a looper like this with usine???

I'd love a reliable live looper inside Usine, and I know I'm not the only one. Mobius as VST is powerfull but so hard to synchronize... at last I've built a script that resync Usine each time a loop starts

And the integration is hours of head scratching.

I know that you're a few looper user here, but maybe you have to create a complete and precise list of features you need and above all , why you don't use/like patches like bar recorder, echoplexx and looper rc51 ?
then maybe some patcher can help you to built such a tool ( I'm afraid the team is busy with big updates for some weeks actually..)
