Hi!
I'm trying to make a MIDI looper to use with samplers, synths etc.
I am looking at the pianoroll to do it, and I managed to record loops, quantized or not, but there still is a few things I can't get right.
I'd like the looper to reset the size of the loop when I clear an existing loop, so that I can record an other in the same "file slot" with possibly a different duration, is this possible?
And to quantize start, end, and notes, is it better to use some "quantize MIDI" and "quantize data"?
Thank you in advance!

for the size of the loop i suppose you can patch it , using the end pos outlet ?
you quantize data when you insert it on a rec switch
you quantize data when you insert it on a rec switch

Yes, that is what I was experimenting with. My problem is that I want to be able to record it on the fly, and I want the loop duration to depend on when I press rec a first and then second time. If I quantize this switch the loop will have a quantized duration, but I also want the loop to be able to don't have a quantized duration, (this part is ok, with the quantize data).
My problem is that if I record a first loop of a duration of 4 bars, when I clear it, the next loop will have the exact same duration, like if it was the same and the "clear" only erases the notes.
Is there a way for it to behaves like it does the first time arround?

If you set your record mode to "over-write", then you shouldn't have to clear the piano roll the next time you hit record. My tests here are showing me that the loop length adjusts to the newly recorded length.
I also found some params by pressing the '+' button on the patch, but none of them seemed to do anything. "clear record" sounded promising, but I couldn't tell what effect it might have.

all modules have this clear record inlet , this one clear the automation records."clear record" sounded promising, but I couldn't tell what effect it might have.
To clear the Midi file, use the clear inlet

Thank everybody, I think it is working, I guess my problem was to have the loop in play mode, the rec mode to overdub, and so when I clear, the lenght of the loop stays stored, or something like that.
To have it work the way I want I still have to make a few logic conditions and so, but it seems to be good!
Thank you guys again!
