Hi.
I've been trying to record Midi data spanning CHs 1-16. The playback of a piano-roll recording from a midi input containing data from multiple channels always seems to play back through channel 1, however the midi-thru data remains unchanged. Manually drawing notes on the roll plays back on the correct channel too, as well as files loaded from elsewhere. But the roll's 'channel filter just seems dead in the recording context.
Is there something I'm missing or...?
Workaround is a poly-piano roll sub-patch, with the 'record' button sent to all voices thus recording multiple midi files concurrently, and using the voice number to select the piano roll' channel send number. But having 16 files, each only utilising 1 channel instead of 1 using all 16 seems a bit silly.
PS. I hope all are well and apologies for any replies I should have made! I had a serious re-think after uploading the 'Rigid Ronnie' thing..... I fathomed my understanding just wasn't good enough for my needs and so crawled underground and since, I've done nothing but patch in Usine, pretty much. So I have tons of stuff I'll be sharing........ a fully mapped, bi-directional, touch-screen Traktor Controller/Interface (with jog wheels and 'air scratching' (via Leap Motion), remix deck sequencing, and more) being just one of them. Kinda like Traxus, on steroids. Here's some shots from my 'data' instance of Usine.......
Many non-Traktor related goodies too, like Maschine pad lights controlling, audio patches, Mobius control panels, and a shitload more stuff.... More details in the near future.
Everything will be fully documented and continuously developed.
Sensomusic.... is there any more news on a more accurate release of HH2 known yet? Knowing this could save me bucket loads of time (by having an idea of what to leave til later, like anything involving 'get current rack number', for example). Would be hugely appreciated. Beta/pre-release testing would be pretty cool
