Hi,
8 years later I still wonder how to manage flows in racks. Here is a simple example of audio flow :

Image

In this rack I have mono in and out. I don't understand why in and out turn stereo when I patch like this. Is there anyway to keep mono in and out even when using more than one audio in/out inside patches ? Why are the additional audio in/out passing through other patches ?
I remember "rack mode" in older Usine version, it was a good way to stack patches without messing the in and out of the rack
Thanks

[s]It looks like your audio inputs and output devices aren't set as mono devices. They look like they have stereo pair inputs and outputs.
In the devices section I just deleted my audio in 2 and left audio in 1 and I do not have the dual VU meters.

Maybe this is your problem, that you devices need to be set as mono?[/s]

I just tested this and see what you mean, just adding a 2nd audio out creates a second VU meter on the devices, even though the device is only mono.

hello,
Not so easy to understand.

The first thing is that a rack is considered as stereo if one of its patch is stereo.
In your situation the rack output section is stereo and will contain 2 vu-meter. the second vu-meter will be connected to the first out available of the patch regarding bottom-up in the rack.

see the picture bellow.
