Hi,
I created a huge patch with many plugins and my cpu (I7 with turboboost) can't handle it.
Please I'm open to suggestion, maybe I can achieve what I want with some other methods. I attached a screenshot of the patch. Maybe I can make a different signal routing..
thx

So if you place all of your instruments on one rack you will load the single thread down. If you separate the plugins between racks and route through inputs and outputs of the racks, it will even the load and use your multi-core efficiently.

At least I have better results with this idea, I know the way it's handled is much more complex, but I have had better results in treating the racks like parallel processing.

Sephult how can I route 2 racks in parallel to one rack with MORPH loaded that handles the 2 stereo inputs?
Or 2 patches in parallel onto a single rack?

Your right, but at least valhalla could be separated, maybe try an audio bus and see the results if there is latency or if it improves being in another rack.

Ill look into it, but those might be some options, also check your cpu options in your plugins those might be adjustable to give you some wiggle room.

Ill see if I can find anything else.

Actually this will work:

If you put dummy ports and specify your output, when coming in on the other rack it will remain. So if output 3+4 it will come in on 3+4

I think I did not understand. Do I have to put dummy outputs in my rack and it automatically appears in the other as inputs?

Anyway is really intricate..who makes big patches lose all the modularity of Usine in this way..

the best is effectively to split you patch into several smaller versions and send audio from patch to patch by 'audio buses'
finally put them in different racks
in other words, don't use the native routing of Usine but only audio buses.

Thanks Senso, may I ask if someday cpu load will e handled in a different way also in patches?
:-)
