Hi,

I really love using Hollyhock II, it's opened up loads of creativity possibilities through the granulators, groove engines and automation. I've recorded numerous tracks in a range of different styles. I've also started looking into the massive potential provided by patching options.

So I'd like to try and use HH2 to create a mixtape or DJ set. Whilst I can control a lot of the samples and effects live, I'd like to be able to set up a list of bass samples in a normal sampler and then trigger them in sequence I've read the manuals and the wiki and can't seem to figure the easiest way to do this.

I think either a counter, local synchro or array could work but what would be the most efficient way to do this?

Many thanks,

Andy

In browser: Modules -> Data -> Lines,Steps,Switches,Curves. Just connect them to play button of sampler! :)

Many thanks for your reply.

The sequenced buttons seem to work better than the sequenced steps. The samples are quite long so I just need to figure out the correct synchro and timing settings otherwise it triggers the next sample too soon.

Many thanks,

Andy

I've been thinking there must be an easy way to do this - and there is. It's simply a case of connecting 're-starting' to 'next' on the sampler. This will also allow you to use flow control and switches if required.

The wiki says re-starting Works properly only in Loop mode synchro. but I've not found any problems so far.
