How do you create a global preset manager for the workspace?

How do you create a global preset manager for the workspace? I attempted it several times last night with no luck. I tried putting one in a patch, but I could not change the target to workspace. It just kept reverting. I scoured the manual, and the modules wiki, and the forum though I did not find anything that precisely answered this question.

USINE has a global preset manager called CONDUCTOR. It applies settings for the whole workspace.

I am using HH2. Maybe you are referring to a prior version. I've been through the manual a few times and still can't find the info on how to do it. Also, the term "CONDUCTOR" does not appear anywhere in the text portion of the most recent manual or patching tutorial/guide.

Basically all I want to do is take snapshots of the current state of all items (that are marked with Saved in preset of course) and be able to access the snapshots as presets in a gig. I don't want to load entire workspaces either. That will break the flow. I will keep working at it. I thought this was possible, or maybe it was before in HH1.

there is an optional workspace preset manager, but by default it's disabled. You just have to turn it on under settings...
