Just thought of something....how hard would it be to send Hollyhock MIDI messages over to Serato software to replace the controller that usually plugs into it? I haven't physically started diving into the mechanics of this, but was wondering if anyone tried this or some sort of version of this? My initial hypothesis is that Hollyhock will see Serato as a regular MIDI bus, and I am able to send messages to it. My second hypothesis is I would need hacked addon software like for Kinect (Kinectar, Kinect Via, etc.) to bridge the messages. My third hypothesis is if the first two don't work out, somehow recreate the controls with raw audio signal (meaning without Serato at all). My biggest concern about the third option is creating a "scratching" dynamic that is as good or better than Serato's. I know many plugins mimic scratching and Turnado by Sugar Bytes straight up has a scratching effect...so what I'm talking about may not be that far-fetched.
Any thoughts? Anyone?
