SDK?

Hi,
Ive downloaded the free version of hollyhock, and I cannot find any sdk information in it...

What Im looking for is:
- more documentation, that the bit here online
- some example code

In particular Im wondering if I could add support for a new hardware device (over usb), so would be nice to see some sample code.
Id also like to see how I can communicate with other modules... am I limited to converting everything to midi?
(my device has high data rates with x,y and pressure for every key, so midi is possible but limiting)

finally the online documentation talks about Xcode 4, does it work with Xcode 5 as well? (I'm cannot downgrade to Xcode 4)
