quantize rec on sampler recorder
Hi,
I discovered overdub mod on sampler recorder, I'm only trying to make it start overdub when reaches the grid section's end. In grid section module there a cursor float output that passes from 0.000 to 1.000 (whether if it is looping or not) but I could not find how to quantize the recording.
Here my patch..not complete not working.

The patch link doesnt seem to be working in the forum post. I did find a grid sync overdub in the uploader section. Is this the updated one?

Can you give more info on your approach?
You wanting to record at each grid section end continuously or only at one index? It's kind of hard to tell you how to approach without more info on what you are trying to accomplish for the patch. You could use a 1 to 0 to create a trigger off the cursor position, that is about all I know how to tell you from the information given.

Thx sephult for answering. I'll tryy to upload again the patch.
The goal is:
making the length f the recording frame (sampler rec module) equal to the duration of the section of the grid when I'm overdubbing, so the grid section is in loop mode.

So will you be always using the grid in the same format? Like the number of bars?

1. Cursor position was floating and not solid 1, so I just did an "if 0 then" with a not.
2. Record will stay one and then refresh at the boundary for the overdub.
3. Had some playback cursor oddities, so I just forced to 0 at the boundary as well.
I just did some visual tests, I will try and do some audio to make sure there are no artifacts. Let me know if you need more help or have questions. The quantize would not work, as you need to cycle the record button to put it back in overdub. If it did work that way you could always use the Master Synchro to find the bar or cycle duration and multiply that with the output of the grid section (if they were always cycle or bar). This would give you the interval for the grid size.
If you just wanted a pure quantize based on the size of the grid, then the method I just mentioned would work. I wasn't for sure if this was a manual action you wanted or triggered action by the grid.

Thank you sephult! I'm learning a lot from you, the forum, manuals and tries!!Seems working but I'll test it better tonight. What I wanted is an action triggered by the grid.
Thank you again
