Hi Guys,

I usually use a PC to run Hollyhock (without any problem), but the production I'm working with at the moment gave me a MACBook Pro and a fireface 800. This afternoon, Hollyhock 2.0.081 freezed 5 times, is there something to check on the mac or in Usine setup ? Where can I get the crashlog to understand what happened ?

Cheers

Kenan

Sadly, we don't support 10.6 anymore, check this compatibility page

Hi,

The old Mac is now Up to date with El Capitan. I Still experience serious freezes. I saved the log files when it happened, I'd be glad to know what's wrong with this Mac.

El capitan is still a fragile release, there was serious problem with audio appz,
The last update you have (10.11.1) say it's solved but it's too recent to be sure all is done.
and i don't know your machine ( and i'm not an apple employee ), but install El capitan on an old 10.6 machine is maybe not a good idea ?

on the Usine side i see you have always the SIR2 vst running when crash, have you test without ?

hi people,
well i was stupid and didn't check compatibility page before, so i upgrade my mac to El capitan, and now i have problem: some of plugins works fine and some of them can be loaded, but immediately after loading they become invisible and part of usine gui freezes (they was working fine on maveric), so i must restart usine and start with new page without problematic plugs. (this plugs works fine in ableton and logic, my mac is 2,8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB). i was trying to reinstall plugs, reinstall usine, but same thing happend all the time. any chance to support el capistan in near future? thanks a lot

Yes, El capitan will certainly be supported by Usine of course,
but the last release is really recent so maybe there's new updates from Apple in the next weeks.

Hi, also a newbie on a Mac, never used Hollyhock anywhere, just posting here because it seems I have to post before starting a new topic, yes? Sorry if I'm not getting this…

Nice to see you dpcoffin :D

Yup, you need to write post before starting a new topic, as the forums have had spam issues in the past.

OK folks,

Here's the end of the story, I've finally got a PC for my project, same patches, same VST, it works like a charm...

Cheers

Hi everyone,
just small update to my post from 2.11.
el capitan 10.11.2 with last update Dec 9,
still same thing happening (some plugins are visible /Liquidsonics Reverberate, Audioease Altiverb/, but can't be loaded; crashes Usine GUI everytime. Reinstalling Usine and plugs; result is same. Everything was working fine on Maveric...

Usine without this plugs; perfect as always...
now i'm thinking about PC. Again...
