BANK - PRESET Function

Hi all. Is there any way to build a patch or subpatch that will allow to have BANKS with several PRESETS within each bank tha way old USINE used to have? I have tried with two PRESET MANAGER modules but haven't got satisfactory results

I don't understand why you need bank. The "preset module" can manage up to 64 presets and you can use several of them in the same patch.

Hi rigsbt. Thanks for replying. My project is a sort of a guitar efects pedalboard. In some hardware units you can find a BANK MODE where you can select from different banks that contain several presets. BANKS are used as SONG select and each song can contain several presets that act as SCENES. That's what I'm trying to achieve. I've tried using two preset modules but everything ends up being a mess with both modules acting on each other and I don't get the desired results. Any way to do this propperly.

may be one preset manager per song and making it visible only (and selectable) only for the desired song ?

I'm not sure on what you mean. The ideal situation would be one preset module to select songs and another preset module to select presets or scenes. Hereis where I'm stuck. Could you show an example please?

Well the combo box let you choose wich song and then you have one different preset manager per song...
Isn't that what you wanted ?

Hi,

Actually, I think it is pretty easy with only one preset module. The module has save and load capabilities. So the save is your BANK with PRESETS inside.
Then you juste have to load a specific file to change your BANK.
Used a lot, very powerful, efficient and strongly coded. I can recommend

Yes, at first that's what I suposed it would do but it does not work, the preset manager simply does mothing when choosing presets, does not recall the presets saved.

What do you mean by that, cab you be a bit more explanatory?

You just have to choose the target of the preset manager :
current patch (that's the actual state but there's nothing to save in this sub patch)
parent patch
top parent patch
rack
workspace


In this new patch you can choose it in the pop up menu (it's not saved in preset so the target will stay the same until changed)

Do you see the pop up ?
that's where you will select the target of the preset manager
I imagine you should use :
rack if all your FX are in the same rack,
workspace if you use several racks

Hello grego mondo. I do undestand the patch and hjow it works. What is hapening is that preset manager does not recall each preset for the given SONG selected by the pop up, it only obeys and works properly for the FIRST song at which are assigned the initial presets. When switching to the other songs preset manager apparently "stores" the presets but it does not recall them the way you set them. I believe that it has somethin to do with the name assigned to each preset. Target is set to WORKSPACE. I attach a workspace test example

It works, the only things are :
1 Song Name wasn't "recall safe"
and
2 Once you've changed song then you have to recall a preset

here now :

Song A
0 is no switch
1 is first switch
2 is second switch
3 is third switch

Song B
0 is all switches
1 is all switches except 1
2 is all switches except 2
3 is all switches except 3

and for each song the color of the preset manager change
white
yellow
orange
red
purple
blue
green
grey


I've change the patch so when you change song it automaticly recall preset 0 of this song ...
