i've been evaluating usine for a couple of weeks now...

..i have only scratch the surface of the program...seems awesome !!!

...i have 1 question...in the new version...the pianoroll (which i have used for the second time since previous versions...) seems to be unable to select multiple notes...and then drag them...(for example to drag a chord)...

...i am almost sure previous versions did this...but i didn't play with this module enough to be certain...

...i am talking about the free version...

...also..is there a way to rename a patch ?...i mean...when i open Usine for the first time the patches have their names (draw filter / bassliner / etc).

if i create one, i can select the color...but i can't change the name.
i can rename a track...and modules (like the pianoroll) by double clicking on it and sometimes right click....but i can't rename o just NAME a new patch.

maybe i must save it first in order to do that ?

those are my noob questions...i know this is stupid and i probably will come with more complex questions in the future (or more stupids...depends on the wheather)

i haven't had enough time to fully test this awesome program...maybe my future DAW for live performance....seems really cool...but i need time to investigate...

...PEACE

Like you said, "save patch as..." is the only solution I've also found so far.
If there's another way I would also like to know.

By the way, as I'm also still quite a noob to patching, I've found that "save patch as.." is always a good idea before fiddling around with patches, if something goes wrong you can simply reload the patch.

You had to 'save as' your patch to name or rename it.

thanks !

...what about the Pianoroll ???

...i have deleted the old versions from my system so i can't test myself if it was able to select multiple notes.

maybe it was my imagination.

:)

anyway...back to do more testing !

it's a wicked learning curve but i am enjoying it !

You are right the piano roll is still in development. I try to improve it at each new release.
The multi-select is in my 'todo' list.
Be patient.
