Hi,

For some reasons, I can't make Usine work properly on ASIO4ALL with my Lynx Card. Usine runs fine on Lynx Asio driver but as I need to run both Usine & Sequoia on the same card I had to find a way to share the ressources, hence the choice for ASIO4ALL on Usine, Sequoia being in WDM mode. Certainly I must have done something wrong, but can't find out... Any ideas/suggestions?

Best,
Thomas

Hi everyone,

This looks like great software, but I'm having a newbie issue with ASIO4ALL also.. I'm running Vista 32-bit, ASIO4ALL, plugged in Behringer U-control UMA25S which is a duel midi keyboard/controller and audio interface (via USB).

Everything set as active in the ASIO4ALL panel, and I selected 'ASIO4ALL' in the audio drop down, but some parts are still in red and 'NO AUDIO!' is highlighted... any thoughts?

Ps. I load up FL Studio and it works ok so I'm confident the keyboard, ASIO, audio, vista etc are working happy and its likely a config thing.

Cheers,
LW.

Ps. worth noting I just installed the asio driver that came with the uma25s also and can't (yet) get any sound out of Usine (but just to check, in FL studio I get audio so we're plugged in etc no worries there ;-))... help appreciated. Cheers!

Pps. I'm trying to get the standalone + free version going

Try to get sound out of any other host software first just to see if it's a problem with Usine. That'll eliminate one option.

Then if the other software works you'll want to poke around in the manual at what the ASIO settings mean. Host programs actually don't tell ASIO4ALL what to do most of the time, they just allow you to access the app's configuration options.

I've never found any Usine-specific options that turned off the sound with ASIO4ALL but I'll poke around and see if I can give you any further insight.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I can use FL Studio just fine with ASIO4ALL and/or the supplied driver for the UMA25S, no worries getting sound from VSTi's etc, latency good etc.

When I load up Demo08 and hit 'on' I can see the output vu's moving about so I assume its running ok, I just don't hear anything. With both ASIO4ALL and Behringer USB audio selected as devices they are still shown with red background colors, I guess that is hinting something is up!

Cheers,
LW.

Hi,

FYI, just installed Usine on my desktop XP box with ASIO4ALL and it works ok, I get sound, it's choppy, but then at least I get something... must be something about my Vista config... hmm, any more ideas?

Just to re-cap, on my vista laptop using dedicated ASIO driver from Behringer I can't get any audio (still get audio marked as red in setup > global setup > audio, but under XP they are all 'grey' aka ok).

Cheers all !
LW.

click on the highlighted red 'no audio' button in the setup menu. that's actually a button that turns off any audio in usine so it can be used as a midi only processor if necessary.
