Hello,
I'm sorry to be pessimistic but the only positive thing is... for once we are facing a very nice video to present a new instrument. What I hear does not revolutionize the idea that I am of the sensor. A wiimote is not comparable in price or number of buttons in the face of this new "Karlax" which is very beautiful, but what I hear does not revolutionize my ears. Sounds trigger by pressing a button or shaking an object, modify an Fiter by tilting an object is not a revolution as it allows me to buy an instrument to 3500 € ... Of course this is not a wii mote but what I hear is not far from being achievable with a wireless controller, which costs 35 €.

ha ha ! BAM !
yes, I've also think about the wii and Usine when i saw this video, and I've even look the video thinking what this can do that a wii can't...
but the instrument is nicer and certainly more viable than a wii..?
for the price, of course it's an other story...

Hello mister Seven,
Of course the possibilities of this Karlax are much wider than a wii in definition and ergonomics for exemple, but by that's what I hear... I am a little skeptical.

i think that what we hear is quick done for this "beautiful" instrument (bof,un baton avec des boutons, plutot phallique),but agree with you,no revolution into manipulation, but holy business (i didn't look at the price,3500? waoh!)
I have tested the Karlax this afternoon and I was really impressed:
- it's a beautiful object in metal with a good ergonomics.
- very stable; it's recognized as a Midi driver with a wireless system; no config to do! In Usine it's just plug and play!
- very reactive sensible and precise,
- a lot of possibilities, many controls, buttons everywhere
Ok it's expensive but compared to the quality it's not so, and only 1/10th the price of my doublebass...
Now we have to imagine what to do with that, but it's an artistic problem?

Hello Senso,
I have no doubt about the quality of the manufacture of this instrument and I'm sure there must be an ideal companion for Usine. I test it with great pleasure if I had the chance. Development are to be the long and expensive for this kind of object and I guess the prices back to an object of this quality must be high. Indeed, compared to the price of a double bass is still reasonably good. But for electronic musicien generaly the barrier of cost is under of this cost. To be continued ?
