about seqswitch, steps, etc

Those modules that work with a number of steps and a sync, could there be a way to have a start position (in steps) and end position too ?
My idea is to have a sequence and use part of it or the whole but with the speed never changing, like the way a sampler does when on loop mode and you change the start/end position.
Or maybe there's allready a way to do that, that I missed !

It's easy to implement with a couple of simple math objects connected to the step pos.
Maybe you can start a new thread in the 'patching' forum?
