Hi there, Is there a way to do have different devices as the inputs and outputs???

I want to use the ASIO4All output from WinAmp as a stereo input, process with VST effects, then output to my EchoAudio Layla3G analog outputs..

So far I can only choose one or the other, and that will not work for my apps..

Thanks,
Lars

There's a program that you can choose to install with the trial version of Reaper, called ReaRoute which can route audio between ASIO apps, but it may only works between App1 & Reaper. Slight chance you can route audio from App1 to App2 (where App1 & App2 are not Reaper), but I have a feeling it won't. I'm not at my DAW atm, otherwise I'd try for you.. let us know! :)

Maybe this may help..
There are a few very cool MP3 playing VST plugins you could use:
xtal
mp3play

Or a more complex solution may be:
..there are a number of VST plugins that can route audio from one VST plugin to another..
Winamp has a VST plugin addon here.
Might be possible to use that with a VST audio i/o plugin like getout or one of the other ones .. can't remember the names of the rest ATM..
Then just use the regular ASIO plugin out ot the Layla3G.

Thanks for the help, i will try the various suggestions..

I have tried a few different VST hosts, but they all will only use the same device for in and out..

FYI, this is what i am trying to do..

http://www.mp3car.com/wiki/index.php/AS ... ing_Method

Xover, EQ, and delay for each channel..

So i am looking to take in my WInamp output(ASIO or kernel stream), use the VST host to do my processing, thn out to seperate amps via the Echo Layla..

I may have ot pick a different card, i will see..

With some audio cards (like RME) you can run several applications at the same time and easily create intern routing to communicate between them.
I do it often.
