I have an Akai APC40. It has lots of pretty lights that indicate what's going on with and you can send it MIDI to control those lights.
Once of the cool things it does, is it has a bank of 8 rotary controllers that are tied to 9 channels. So you hit a button on the APC, and the 8 controllers are controlling channel 1. Press another button, and the controllers are now on channel 2, etc.
They are absolute mode controllers, however, when you switch between "channels" the lights around each controller indicate it's position.
This is very cool as it offers a HUGE amount of knobs in a small'ish space.
Unfortunately the APC does not recall the CC/knob positions when it powers off.
Thus.. If you use all these multi-channel knobs to set values in VST's that are mapped to those knobs, when you power up your program again, everything goes to zero!
The solution would be to have Usine "read" the parameter values for all mapped knobs and send them to the APC so it's in Sync.
Is that even possible?
Possible to send VST/Usine "state" to an external midi device?
I don' t own this interface, but what you can test is to create some knobs /faders from the plugin (see screenshot)
then set these knobs (and the MIDI out device used) to motorized option in the remote tab of its settings panel
you can also add an automatic update this way:
