Downloading 3.68d ... an opportune time to ask. I think around when the VST came out install changed to just 'replace the entire directory contents'. Or maybe it's always been that way, I forget.

In any case, for the most part that is fine, I have all my patches and workspaces on another drive. But I have to do at least two things every time I install a new version: select my audio driver, and set my VST folder and rescan plugins. Probably other things like set folder directories that I don't notice as I am able to navigate around in any case.

Is there something I am overlooking to make upgrading smoother? Is there an easy config/xml/txt file I can copy and replace to pick up where I left off? I realize selecting the audio driver is trivial, and the VST scan is surprisingly quick for 1900+ plugs (2-4 minutes?). I also realize the format of this config file may change release to release.

Can the user configurable things be encapsulated in some way that we don't lose them each install? Or am I doing it wrong?

Hi mn,

it´s possible to save the setup as a file. Look at the small setup window and click 'File'. That makes it a little easier to restore the old settings.

Eureka! Haha, I forgot all about that menu, obviously. I'll try saving the setup there before my next install. Thanks.

And you can also save your Master Section, and reload it after upgrade (it will then be loaded each time you start Usine).

Hey,
I just downloaded the programme ... awesome !!!!

But my problems with the setup settings is, that nothing happens, no window opens either in the vst nor in the standalone version.

Is this a Bug ?

Or is it a demo limitation - although I didn't read something like this

I have the latest version ...

what window are you talking about?
there is no limitation in the free version except the number of tracks.

I can not change the "setup settings" ... not in the standalone version neither in the vst version - I get no reaction from the programme when I click the "setup" button ...

yeah, that's the problem, I can not set my asio drivers, because i don't get any setup dialog/window - therefore I can't get any sound out of the standalone version
