from novation website :
"• Old-school MIDI control
Utilising Automap, Launchpad can operate as a standard MIDI controller, creating custom MIDI maps with 72 of its buttons transmitting either CC or MIDI note data."

and price seems cool too , ( about 160€ ) ....

I HEARD that!

My rappy 14" touchscreen is willing and ready.

I'm still equivocating about waiting all the way til the Packard Bell’s Viseo 200T Multi-Touch Monitor comes along for £200 (about $330) in mid-October... but 20" of multi-touch custom GUI control is something that's been burning a hole in my psyche for several years now..........................................................................arg!!!

You know I have now amassed 100 pages of ideas for multi-touch interfaces and gestural commands? It's getting a little eerie.

Oh, damn, Olivier... my birthday is just over a week away, am I getting my most wished-for present, a new Usine version?

@about the bell's monitor: very promising! Imagine a 20' multi-point monitor on stage!

happy birthday, Usine v5 will be the major improvement since the v1.0:
- new ergonomic concept,
- new design,
- new engine,
- new modules
- etc.

Unfortunately it will be available only in few month.

I'm very interested by your vision of the multitouch, feel free to send me your ideas especially if you can create a small document about it.
I make the official announcement : Usine is now multitouch!. I'm working on a demo video.

Great news, but I hope V5 will stay compatible with the actual version, I don't want to rebuild all my patches....

I'll try to maintain the compatibility as much as possible especially for patch functionalities.
But the layouts will be partially uncompatible. Not a real problem.
