I know this place: a wonderful noise performance location!

But I didn't knew Usine was known in Berlin, I lived there one year and never met somebody who had heard of it.

There's a huge noise scene in Berlin, plenty of specific locations for noise music or regularly hosting performances. And there are also often workshops, mostly about circuit bending or stuff like that.

I play much more instrumental music (I'm a beginner with laptop and electronic music in general), and I'm not a noise integrist: I just like to hear good performances but the good ones are rare, even in Berlin!

So I didn't met personnaly a lot of noise performers there but I guess for those who perform sound-freaking/noisy/concrete stuff with laptop, the possibilities of Usine must be really interesting, so it is cool that a workshop like that takes place in such a reknown "noise" location (I heard William Benett of "Whitehouse" there, and "family battle snake").

A little off topic, but is there anyone other than me in Melbourne Australia Usine-ing? Or anywhere in Australia?

Australia represents around 2000 visitors per month.
So I suppose that you're not alone...
