Hi,
I've just installed 5.15, and now the sound output is very "noisy", very dirty.
I have different DAW software, I tried them to see if my soundcard was the problem, but everything is fine.
Also, in the console, I get a lot of messages like this:
[1] Workspace C:Documents and SettingsLucDesktopUsineFilesWorkSpace.wkp loaded
[2] Error:Process msg Access violation at address 008ABAA1 in module 'UsineMain.exe'. Read of address 3CB1F5EE
[3] Error:Internal in Process msg
[4] Error:Process msg Access violation at address 008ABAA1 in module 'UsineMain.exe'. Read of address 3CB4109C
[5] Error:Internal in Process msg
[6] Error:Process msg Access violation at address 008ABAA1 in module 'UsineMain.exe'. Read of address 3CB62E69
and so on...
By the way, is it possible to attach the log file to forum posts ?
Thanks

Hello, it sounds like you should probably attach the workspace and log file to an email describing the problem and send it to contact@sensomusic.com
yes, please report problems by mail.
In you case it comes from a VST.

Senso,
I reported it as suggested, but there might be 2 problems here.
The crackling noise is produced by ANY VST, even Helios II, while in other DAWs there's no such issue.
The console messages might indeed be caused by a specific VST (OP-X pro), but again, in other DAWs I don't see any such behavior.
Like I said, in 5.13 I didn't see that. Could you provide me a link so that I can download 5.13 again and try it (yes, I deleted it from my disk
What can you suggest I try in Usine to pinpoint the source of the problem ?
Thanks

please send your LogUsine.log and your workspace by mail!
I can't do anything without those files.

Olivier,
Is it possible that between version 5.13 and version 5.15 the default Asio settings such as "best bloc size" and "refresh speed" have changed ?
After playing with those settings, I was able to get rid of the strange noises. I was getting them even when simply patching an input with a microphone to the output. The sound was crakling, almost like metallic, like a robot talking.
Setting those parameters to slower settings got rid of those sounds and now the output is clean again.
As for the VST problem, if I still get it, I'll be sure to send the workspace + log by email.
Best regards.

yes, In new versions setup is reseted to its default value.
The good reflex is to save the older setup (file menu in setup) and reload it in the newest version.
