Hello Usiners,

At the sync input of the grain resampler module there is no option for "midi" (compared to the sampler module).
I think such an option would be nice (espacially to trig the grain resampler with rythmic midi signals).
Is this hard to implement?
Rgds,

B.

thanks for your feedback,

In fact MIDI processing is very complex in a sampler, (especially because of the polyphony).
Initially, this module wasn't designed to be played with a keyboard.
I think, that for rhythm midi patterns, you can create, very quickly, a patch that "push" the play button each time a midi note ON is received (midi in + midi filter) ?

I'll take a look, try to see if I can find a solution for MIDI processing in the grain sampler.

No problem, of course it's quite easy to implement a patch pushing the "play" button.

I know this is a very old thread but I was wondering if it is on the horizon. The reason is because i wanted to use the grain sampler to make a grain synth patch but realized that it does not accept MIDI and can only play 1 "note" at a time. I dont think it is possible to do in a patch without using multiple grain samplers but then there is the problem of switching samples. Maybe an easier way would be for each grain sampler to be able to share the same sample list so that you can have multiple samplers (polyphony) and a patch to spread multiple notes across the selection of samplers? Or maybe a patch master knows a better way? Thanks.

yes, i suppose you can find workaround with script like midi expand voices, and unpack midi ones and a list can be shared with several grain samplers too , but don't worry polyphony is on the road...;-)
