Does anyone have experience making patches for sending SysEx messages? I've got some vintage equipment that I'd like to make dashboards for. I used to use Sounddiver, but it's time to do something better if I can.

I have the SysEx messages for all the synth parameters. Unfortunately, I am a complete and confused newb with Usine. I would appreciate some help.

Thanks.

hello,
here a simple example with an array ( min =0, max = 247 ) and a sysex editor module ( modules/midi) :

Please forgive my ignorance, but I am trying to understand. The user manual is just so brief.

If the fader is connected to the Array, shouldn't I be able to see the Array value change as I move the fader?

Shouldn't the SysEx module and modifiers be connected to the corresponding out of the Array (in your example val5)?

I imagine that I need a MIDI in/out module(s) to select channels?

yes a complete working patch can be something like this :
Image

and if you activate the midi out trace function in the globalsetup/midi out you'll see something like this :
[267] SysEx Sent [length=7]
[268] OUT:Begin Sysex (0):
[269] OUT:67
[270] OUT:16
[271] OUT:1
[272] OUT:14
[273] OUT:4
[274] OUT:0005CC44:247-End SysEx

you don't see the value 5 move because the max of the array is 247 , so a change 0_5 is not enough significant to be visible...

I really appreciate your help. I've got to leave the studio for a few hours, but I'll give this a shot tonight.

In my attempt, I set the fader value range 0-99. Was surprised that I couldn't see that in the Array properties window.

Thanks again.
