Folks-
Does anyone know if the grain sampler can be used in a polyphonic sub-patch? I tried it and it seems like maybe no, but I wonder if I'm doing it wrong since the behavior is different in 5.5 than in 5.7.
Also, I notice there's a polyphonic setting in the regular sampler, but I can't figure out what it does. To make the regular sampler handle multiple individual play requests, I just put it in a sub-patch. Is that right?
My understanding is that if I use the poly features, then it will be easier on the computer resources.
My goal is to allow the same sample file to be re-triggered without stopping the first trigger. I used a dispatcher and multiple samplers to do this in the past but I need to economize in resources.
Thanks,
- CCQ -

at first , the polyphonic feature is used with the midi in
in sub-patch in poly mode , you use the midi voice dispatcher module
and about the sampler module, the polyphonic option work only when you use the sampler in
synchro= midi only
hope it's make sense
now, the grain sampler has no midi in option, I don't have test but maybe you can find a work around with an unpack midi script ( modules/midi/midi tools/) and the grain sampler set to synchro = play button

Thanks, Nay. I'm trying to conserve CPU so my understanding is I'm better off with as few samplers patched as possible.
I see what you're saying about the MIDI Dispatch. I never understood that thing but now I see.
