I was patching Aalto into a delay trying to modulate the parameters like a crazy person and the audio began to stutter, everything froze resulting in the BSOD. PC rebooted and now there's no audio at all. The VU is moving in the master output but i can't hear a thing! Think i broke it. :(

Starting and stopping the driver doesn't do anything with the native asio drivers but switching to asio4all it works, still no audio though. Had a similar issue with my laptop at first but it's been fine since.

Interfaces are a TC Konnekt 6 and an Infrasonic Quartet on my desktop and NI AK1 on my laptop. I guess i need to overwrite the installation but i'll reboot first and see if that fixes it.

Cheers.

Oh yeah, i'm using the pro demo.

Wow, are you kidding me?! :D

That with a touchscreen would be stunning! That's what's been going through my mind when i've been playing with the demo, building on existing plugins and modifying them to create hybrid mutations. Will you be releasing that?

Anyway, i think it's an issue with my Quartet. I changed the buffer size via the Quartets main control panel this triggered a really loud nasty buzzing sound, switched buffer size and sample rate which resulted in another bsod. After rebooting and bsoding a couple of times the desktop ended up in a post reboot loop so i shut it down and left it till today. I've removed the driver for now and eventually i got the Konnkekt 6 driver to work but it took a bit of playing around with the settings in Usine.

hmm, I've had what may be a similar issue with my RME where I've clipped the output in Usine really hard and then the audio will not work again untill I reboot my computer Seems a bit strange..?

I remind you that the nice(:)) BSOD is absolutely not a matter of Usine but only an hardware fault: USB, Firewire, memory drop out, etc.
Usine or any soft can't generate a BSOD itself. It's one of your driver or the physical memory.

Yeah it was a driver issue, i was adjusting the quartets settings outside of Usine when the further bsods occured.think i overloaded the audio buffer and the quartet couldn't recover, the patching i was trying was not within normal parameters anyway. :P

I've got another driver related issue on my laptop though. A couple of times when i've quit Usine it hangs. I try to force quit but it doesn't work. I can't reboot either, well not until i unplug my AK1! As soon as i unplug it my laptop reboots. I should have unplugged the ak1 in the first place but i'll try it if it happens next time. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
