I cant get aftertouch to come out of usine to my external synth. I am able to do this in ableton. I can output cc in hollyhock latest Mac version to my synth but not aftertouch.
can anyone else confirm this?

I confirm. Using MIDI-OX and a loopback there are no midi messages received when the MIDI type is set to Aftertouch on a Create MIDI module.

If you look at the midi output of aftertouch in a midi monitor there is an error message that is appearing.
