Hello Olivier an Usiners
Some ideas: ( in sequencer use)

Possibility to lock "move objects" without locking the curves.

Possibility to hide all curve select buttons (volume, user1, user2...) for all patches (shortcut letter H for exemple), that would be more easy to create and modify points in curves, sometimes points of curves are with the lower part of volume button (or users1,...., buttons). I know I can zoom to see hide points but .....

In a piano roll module an option to modify operation of this module: a new button who would desactivate the internal loop in this module, thus it would function like Seq midi file player, but with the option to load 8 midi files.

In a piano roll module and in Seq midi file player it is not easy to modify velocities notes when there is a lot of notes in score: an option to choose notes who wants to modify in the keyboad (on the left keyboard). If I select C2 on the keyboard I can modify all C2 velocities in the score, actually it is so easy to do errors.

In a piano roll module and in Seq midi file player: Delete automatically note on without note off when midi file is loaded.

I would like to add to the last suggestion (if implemented) that it should be optional. Typical drum-style programming (and of course triggers from various Usine modules) don't neccessarily need note-offs. A dialog when opening the file and missing note-offs detected, perhaps?

OK, I'll try to find something

We have to take care to add special things like that and make Usine more complex?

I think it will be possible to get 8 layers in the sequencer midiplayer as in the pianoroll.

I'll find something, in particular a fixed height velocity zone.

Such notes can be helpful? (see bsork comment)

Hello Oliver,

Once again thanks for a great product!

I have a request, unless it's already possible.

Using the "Create Midi Mesage" and Piano Roll and/or the "Midi Filter" is there a way to access the values in "breath control" sometimes refered to as the joystick function or CC function 2?

for a detailed definition of "breath control" see

http://improv.sapp.org/doc/class/MidiOu ... llers.html

I use Usine with an AKAI EWI400S and it would be usefull to be able to remap the breath controll function, to other features in VST's, particully with ones that don't have any midi learn aspect.

Cheers

I am so jealous that I want to cry!

This is my dream! Please post examples of this once you get it working, Zoot.

Hi Zoot, the best way to remap CC messages (or any other kind of MIDI messages for that matter) is probably to use a script, or find a suitable VST. Unlike most other data types, MIDI is constructed of "records" varying in length between 1 and 3 bytes, making manipulations with the Usine modules a bit more complicated than other data - but not impossible.

I haven't got time to create an example patch/script right now, but maybe some other user can post something to help you?

if you activate the 'Unpack' option in the midi in module, you fix the midi data length to 1. So midi informations can be handled as any other data's.
Can help for simple remaping and avoid script.

Zoot, do you have a website? My partner plays an Akai 4000s. I would like to send him a link to your site. We played in The Hague at Haags Pop Centrum last night.
Best, Newbie Brad

Hi all thanks for the help, rebuilding my PC at the moment, it needed more horsepower. I've give your ideas a go when I get things back up and running again :). I'll let you know how I get on and post some samples of how i get on in a few weeks. Unless some else beats me to it.

Sorry no web site yet...

Cheers

Zoot
