Automation Record

Is there any way to access the automation record programmatically from a module or scripting interface?

I am assuming through IML there is the ability to, I was curious as I would find it nice to have access direct on the panel next to the knob for recording and clearing without having the menu open and close.

There's some big changes coming for automation recording in V2, but you can yet use a Midi/key learn on record icon , and use the contextual "clear record" button...?

Thanks Nay, I just saw the MIDI learn a little bit ago and was thinking about that route.

At the moment I have pieced together an arsenal of items, instead of individual record methods, I am finding your Automation record would work much better. Will the Automation record have the ability to set the quantization or the amount of loop recording as well?
I am curious as if not I will continue down my path with my template.
