My 1010 saffire interface gives me static more and more as I work on the using project and I have to reset it to clear it. It is sitting on my computer - is this the problem as I have killed my background processes... anyone know a good site where these things are discussed. I am a wood and steel musician for the most part.

First of all, is all of your gear connected to a grounded electricity grid?
Have you tried using a shielded socket?
What is your setup? What's connected (both in and out) to your interface?
Did you check the cables and the power cords?
