Good day,

I have a Akai APC40 mk2, and an APC mini.

My goal is to use the clip-launch buttons to bypass the fx in racks, and get led feedback.
Well, everything works, except the led feedback.

Does anybody know an easy solution ?

If you've used midi learn on switches in Usine, try activating the motorized option in the midi tab.
You also need to activate it in the device midi in.

Hi La Tenaille,
Nah,the solution is not That simple,,
The color of the lights depend on the velocity of the note on's.
So the note on velocity for the feedback need to be different from the input,
Some midi transformation is needed,,,

(I wish I could program, but I'm just a musician who has simple overall technical orientation)
Thanks for trying to help,,

Here an example
you create your midi learn as usual
For the multiply module, the B=14 here ( done for a launchpad=red color) , but it correspond to the velocity you need
the code 1 correspond to the note number

edit: you midi out device must be in the rack output

Hi nay-seven,,

Hi nay-seven, thank you very much for chiming in, I hoped you would cause I know you have experience in this field,,

I'm having a few good results, very happy about that, I'll give an update when I have the time to do a few more tests,, :)

Hello, finally time for the updates,,

I stumbled on a solution in the direction La Tenaille pointed,,
I used his classic method with the APC mini device in the output, and switched on the Macky emulation, and presto, an ecstatic me,,,

But,, with the native Usine fx it works good, fx on/led controller on, and fx of/led controller of.
But with plugins it's the other way around, fx on/led controller of, and fx of/led controller on.
(Using the plugins bypass mode, the inverse function in the midi area does not work here)

So instead I used the enable/disable, green/red led in the right upper corner in the patch, and this gave a proper result,
which basically solves my problems, and rather cool for APC mini and HH users, a plugandplay controller setup. :)

(I bet there is a simple method to make it work with the bypass function to, and be able to use more colors besides the green, etc,
but at least I can continue going on the job without technical barriers)

I also did some fiddling with the patch nay-seven showed us.
(Potentially very cool stuff)

First I copied it, but was clueless how to implement it (where, with what to connect).
Then I discovered the Macky emulation method, and that the controller led/bypass function with the plugins works the other way around, so,,,

I put the patch of nay-seven in the same patch of the effect,
assigned the switch to the same same controller knob as the plugin bypass switch,
Macky emulation on the bypass of, and the other switch on,
then with the mouse switch the bypass of, and the other on,
and miraculously now the controller with led works like it should, cool,,

but it does not work the other way around, when the function is controlled from the screen,
the controller led behaves wrong again,,
(Which in most cases would be no problem, if one can choose between hardware or digital controlling,I would always choose hardware,,)

I guess I used some forbidden techniques with usable results here (I expect double midi messages are send),
and that the midi assignments on the 2 switches must be done different.
But for now I feel to noobish to do better,,

On the Akai APC 40mk 2 I had no success what so ever (which is a shame, but less important, for now,).
Gladly Akai finally put the midi specs online,

But, as I said, I feel to noobish to pull out more results today,,
